Job Purpose:

The Draftsman – Mechanical (Power Specialization) will be responsible for preparing detailed 2D/3D mechanical drawings and technical documentation for power transformers. The role involves working closely with design engineers to convert conceptual designs into precise technical drawings that support manufacturing, assembly, and quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop accurate and detailed 2D/3D CAD drawings for transformer components, assemblies, and layouts.
• Prepare fabrication, machining, and assembly drawings in compliance with design standards.
• Interpret engineering specifications, design calculations, and sketches into technical drawings.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and adherence to quality standards in drawings.
• Maintain drawing records, revisions, and engineering documentation.
• Collaborate with mechanical/electrical design teams to resolve design-related queries.
• Assist in preparation of Bill of Materials (BOMs) from approved drawings.

Requirements:

• Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in Mechanical (or equivalent).
• 2–5 years of relevant drafting experience in transformer/mechanical design.
• Strong command of CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent).
