Position Overview : As a Payment Specialist - Senior at ValueLabs , you wll play vital role in conceptualizing , designing , amd implementing holistic and intuitive solutions for complex enterprise applications.Leveraging your expertise in user-centric design principles and your proficiency in cutting-edge technologies, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences across our suite of CRM an HR software products.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect the Payment Orchestration Layer:**

• Lead the architectural design of the platform's payment gateway and orchestration services, defining the logic for payment routing, fee calculation, and exception handling.

• Design the integration strategy for onboarding new payment rails and providers.

• **Lead Integration with Payment Networks:**

• Serve as the lead subject matter expert for integrating with a diverse set of payment rails, including traditional banking networks (SWIFT, SEPA, Faster Payments) and modern payment APIs (Wise, CurrencyCloud, etc.).

• Work hand-in-hand with Senior Integration Engineers to ensure the technical implementation is robust, secure, and compliant with network rules.

• Optimize Treasury and Liquidity Flows:**

• Collaborate closely with the Treasury team to design payment flows that optimize liquidity, minimize settlement risk, and reduce transactional costs.

• Provide expert guidance on the operational nuances of different payment systems, including settlement times, messaging formats, and failure modes.
Manage Partner and Vendor Relationships:**

• Act as the primary technical and operational liaison for our payment-related banking partners and FinTech vendors.

• Lead technical due diligence on potential new payment providers.
Ensure Payment Compliance and Security:**

• Work with the compliance team to ensure all payment flows adhere to regulatory requirements, including AML and sanctions screening.

• Provide expert input on securing payment processes against fraud and operational risks.

Qualifications:

Must-Have:**

• Professional Experience:** 12+ years of experience in the payments industry in a product, operations, or technical role.

• Deep Payments Expertise:** Expert-level knowledge of multiple global payment systems is non-negotiable. This must include deep familiarity with:

• Cross-border payments** and correspondent banking (e.g., **SWIFT** messaging and standards).

• Domestic ACH/RTGS systems** (e.g., SEPA, Faster Payments, FedWire).

• API-based Payment Providers:** Proven experience integrating with modern, API-first payment providers (e.g., Stripe, Adyen, Wise, CurrencyCloud).

• Financial Messaging:** Deep understanding of financial messaging standards such as ISO 20022 and ISO 8583.

• Systems Thinking:** The ability to understand and design complex, end-to-end payment flows across multiple internal and external systems.

• Stakeholder Management:** A proven track record of working effectively with technical teams, treasury departments, and external banking partners.
Nice-to-Have (Highly Desirable):**

• Digital Assets & Stablecoins:** Experience with stablecoin settlement (USDC/USDT) and crypto-to-fiat payment flows.

• Core Banking Systems:** Familiarity with how payment instructions are processed within core banking platforms like Temenos.

• Treasury Management Systems:** Experience with treasury or liquidity management systems.
