The Position:

The GNT Systems is seeking a Systems Administrator to work within the Hosting Operations team in the managing, maintaining, and optimizing the technical infrastructure of our hosted, cloud and on-prem software solutions. You will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, availability, performance and security of our systems and applications, contributing to the overall experience of our clients.

Your role will involve investigating, managing, tracking, and resolving technical support issues, with a focus on maintaining server operating environments and ensuring continuous availability of applications for end-user access.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintenance, Administration and Upgrades:

• Perform regular maintenance and upgrade activities including:

• security patching

• OS, firmware and application version updates

• Scheduled server, network, storage related maintenance tasks as required

• Implement, configure and maintain networking and security components –

• connections with third parties (i.e., VPNs , SFTP).

• Firewall and security policies

• Management and Administration of Azure Entra ID formerly Azure AD

• Issue Resolution and Troubleshooting:

• Responsible for addressing reported issues within the issue\change tracking systems including following established documentation, tracking, approval and escalation procedures .

• Work cohesively with other team members to respond to, address and resolve issues through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and excellent communication .

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems in a timely manner.

• Proactively assess infrastructure, software and configurations for potential issues or areas of improvement.

• Identify and report possible gaps or areas of enhancement related to implemented security measures.

• Participate in the off-hours on-call rotation, addressing alerts and notifications or triaging per established procedures.

• System Monitoring and Optimization:

• Monitor system performance and propose solutions for optimization or tuning of systems.

• Develop and maintain automation scripts\tools for routine tasks, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

• Implement proactive monitoring and audit procedures per regulatory and security needs.

• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.

• Share knowledge and best practices with the team to enhance overall capabilities and efficiency.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• 4-6+ years of Linux (Debian) and Windows system administration experience

• 3-5+ years of Hosted solution administration experience

• 3+ years of Public Cloud (Azure) administration experience

• 2+ years of experience working on on-prem infrastructure

• Strong understanding of networking and security domains –

• Firewall administration.

• VPNs

• EPP\EDR

• Experience in upcoming technologies such as virtualization (containers, microservices, etc.) and AI/Client

• Automation\scripting skills (PowerShell, bash, etc.)

• Excellent troubleshooting and issue resolution skills

• Ability to communicate well and work within a team.

• Experience in administration of Atlassian solutions (e.g., Jira, Confluence)

• Advanced documentation and diagramming skills
