About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and motivated
Business Intelligence Analyst
to join our dynamic team. As a Business Intelligence Analyst at Ascend Analytics, you will be responsible for delivering data-driven insights and solutions tailored to various client projects. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze data, and translate business objectives into actionable recommendations and project plans.

What You'll Do:

  • Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that address specific client needs.
  • Develop and maintain customized BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.
  • Identify, formulate and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate project success and identify areas for client improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to understand data needs and project objectives, presenting findings and recommendations effectively.
  • Provide data-driven strategic recommendations to support client decision-making processes and contribute to project strategies.
  • Train and support end-users in using BI tools and understanding customized reports for client-specific applications.
  • Develop a business case for new initiatives or project modifications.
  • Gathering and documenting functional and non-functional requirements using appropriate techniques including document analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, task, and workflow analysis.
  • Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, e.g., writing business requirement documents, project charters, case studies etc.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 1 to 3 years of experience
    as a BI Analyst or in a similar analytical role
  • Experience in working in a similar position with cross functional teams
  • Strong Experience with
    SQL, Google Sheets and MS Excel
  • Adept at writing optimized SQL scripts
  • Strong Experience with
    visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
  • Ability to understand, analyze, and interpret complex data to effectively solve business problems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in generating process documentation and reports
  • Excellent communication skills, presentation and interpersonal skills with an ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple client projects simultaneously
  • High proficiency in technical writing
