We are looking for a Biomedical Engineer to join our Biomedical Engineering Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the safe operation of all biomedical equipment used in the hospital. This role requires both technical expertise and a commitment to supporting high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct repair and preventive maintenance of all biomedical equipment within the hospital.
  • Ensure equipment is functioning safely, efficiently, and in compliance with hospital standards.
  • Assist in the installation, calibration, and testing of new medical devices.
  • Maintain detailed service records, maintenance logs, and performance reports.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Recommend equipment replacement or upgrades based on performance and cost analysis.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers for timely maintenance and parts procurement.
  • Support hospital safety and quality compliance programs.
  • Perform any other task assigned by the Manager – Biomedical or Hospital Administration.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education:
  • B.E. in Biomedical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering OR B.Tech / B.Tech (Hons) in Biomedical / Electrical / Electronics
  • Experience:
  • B.E. / B.Tech: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
  • D.A.E.: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Professional Knowledge:
  • Hands-on experience with medical equipment such as Radiology, Dialysis, Laboratory, and CSSD systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Familiarity with hospital safety protocols.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple maintenance requests efficiently.
  • Good documentation and reporting skills.
  • Team-oriented with strong communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.

  • Timely completion of equipment maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Reduction in downtime of biomedical equipment.
  • Accuracy of maintenance records and reports.
  • Compliance with hospital quality and safety standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs60, Rs80,000.00 per month
