Role Description

This is a full-time role. The Agricultural Economist/Policy Specialist will conduct research on agricultural economies, develop and analyze agricultural policies, evaluate the economic impact of existing and proposed policies, and provide recommendations for sustainable agricultural development. The specialist will work closely with stakeholders to develop strategic plans, conduct data analysis, and contribute to policy advocacy efforts aimed at improving the agricultural sector.

Qualifications

• Research, Data Analysis, and Policy Development skills
• Knowledge in Agricultural Economics and Sustainable Development
• Experience with Economic Impact Assessment and Financial Mechanisms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and work independently
• Proficiency in software tools for data analysis (e.g., Stata, NVivo, GIS platforms)
• Understanding of the socio-economic challenges in the agricultural sector
• Master's degree in Agricultural Economics, Economics, Public Policy, or related field preferred
• Experience in policy advocacy and development within the public or private sector is a plus
