Job Description – Shoe Merchandiser (Women's & Men's Shoes/Slippers)

Position: Shoe Merchandiser

Department: Merchandising / Footwear Division

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage seasonal footwear collections for women's and men's shoes/slippers in collaboration with the design and product teams.
• Conduct market research to identify current footwear trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
• Coordinate with suppliers/vendors for sampling, costing, price negotiation, and timely production.
• Work closely with the design, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure product quality, fit, and finishing standards.
• Manage inventory levels, monitor stock movement, and plan reorders to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Analyze sales performance and provide insights for improving future assortments and product ranges.
• Ensure timely launch of footwear collections in alignment with seasonal campaigns and promotional activities.
• Liaise with the marketing team to highlight key product stories for campaigns and visual merchandising.
• Maintain accurate records of all developments, approvals, shipments, and vendor communications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Fashion Merchandising, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in footwear merchandising (women's/men's) preferred.
• Strong understanding of footwear market trends, customer behavior, and retail dynamics.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for vendor and supplier coordination.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); ERP knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure with strong organizational and time-management skills.
