Role Overview

We are seeking a
data lead
with strong expertise in
modern data engineering platforms
and experiencing guiding data-driven initiatives at scale. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives at the intersection of
data architecture, data science, and cloud technologies.

The position is
data-heavy
, requiring deep knowledge of
data pipelines, data lakes and large-scale analytics platforms
, while also leveraging
AI/ML practices
to drive value from data. The ideal candidate will have
hands-on-experience in Snowflake, dbt, Airbyte
, and
Databricks
, along with solid experience in
Azure
cloud.

The roles offers the opportunity to
shape the organization's data strategy
while enabling advanced use cases with AI/ML.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Architecture & Engineering (
Primary Focus
)

  • Lead the design and implementation of
    scalable data pipelines
    and workflows using
    Snowflake, dbt, Airbyte, and Databricks.

  • Architect and optimize
    data lakes and warehouses
    , ensuring efficiency, scalability, and cost optimization.

  • Oversee ingestion from multiple resources (databases, APIs, SaaS platforms) and ensure
    high-quality and reliable data delivery
    .

Define best practices for
data modeling, transformations, and governance
across the organization.

Data Science & AI/ML (
Secondary Focus
)

  • Support integration of
    machine learning models
    into production data workflows.

  • Collaborate with data scientists on feature engineering, data preparation and model deployment.

  • Maintain awareness of AI/ML trends to guide adoption of relevant tools and practices.

  • Exposure of
    MLOps practices
    (MLflow, Kubeflow, or similar) is a plus.

Leadership strategy

  • Lead and mentor a team of
    data engineers and analytics
    , fostering growth and innovation.

  • Partner with product and business terms to ensure
    data-driven and decision-making
    .

  • Align the data strategy with broader business objectives, balancing execution with innovation.

Requires Skills & Qualification:

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in
    data engineering, data platforms and analytics
    .

  • 3+ years in
    leadership roles
    overseeing data teams

  • Proven track records building data platforms in
    cloud environments
    (Preferably Azure)
    .

  • Hands on experience with
    Snowflake, dbt, Aitbyte
    , and
    Databricks
    (must haven).

  • Exposure to Ai/ML and MLOps (bonus if ML models were integrated into pipelines.

Technical Skills:

Data Infrastructure
: Snowflake, bdt, Aitbyte, Databricks.

  • Cloud Platforms
    : Azure (strong preference for hands-on production experience).

  • Programming:
    Python (pandas, PySpark). Familiarity with ML libraries (scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow) is a plus.

MLOps/Automation:
Git, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines; ML flow/ Kubeflow exposure is advantageous.

: Experience ensuring traceability, observability and compliance in data workflows.

Leadership & Soft Skills:

mentor, motivate and scale technical terms.
