Job Description

Meraj Limited is seeking an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of the machine shop. The role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to manage manpower, workflow, machine maintenance, and production quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations of the machine shop.
  • Plan, schedule, and allocate tasks to machinists and technicians.
  • Ensure proper operation of CNC, lathe, milling, and other machining equipment.
  • Monitor production quality and ensure adherence to engineering specifications.
  • Coordinate with production and maintenance departments for job planning.
  • Troubleshoot machine and production issues to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, materials, and consumables.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and 5S practices.
  • Train and mentor machine shop staff to improve performance and skills.
  • Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for management.

Requirements

  • DAE / B.Tech (Mechanical) or relevant qualification.
  • 4–6 years of experience in machine shop operations (supervisory experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of shop safety protocols and preventive maintenance.
