Branch Accountant

Role Description

To Assist Line Manager or Zonal Accountant in Accounts and Finance activity, of concerned and allied location

Key Responsibilities:

Debrief Undelivered shipments of riders and reconcile returned shipments with system records.

Debrief Delivered shipments of riders and reconcile Cash with system records.

Ensure to generate RR (Recovery Receipts) against cash received from delivered CODs/ Cash Sales and Recovery.

Deposit the Cash into company account on daily basis and share Deposit slip with Zonal accountant on same day of Deposit.

Maintain Receipts and Deposit record in Excel and System as per provided format and reconcile it with physical Cash before COB (close of Business).

Notify any SOP Violation/discrepancy to Line manager and Zonal accountant.

Responsible for Stock (Sales Reports, CN books) issuance to Couriers and maintain inventory.

Keep proper physical record of accounts related documents.

Control revenue leakage through system reports.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Experienced in financial Controls and account reconciliation
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance preferred
• Prior experience in a logistics or similar industry is advantageous
