JOB LOCATION:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Monitor, track, and ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive actions across the terminal.
  • Support the planning and facilitation of HSE meetings, including attendance tracking, minute-taking, and escalation of key safety concerns to the Head of HSE.
  • Assist in organizing and executing safety, fire, and emergency drills, followed by detailed reporting and documentation.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and terminal rounds; report findings and follow up on action items with responsible stakeholders.
  • Prepare and circulate terminal safety inspection reports to relevant departments.
  • Maintain communication with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of HSE data into the Safety Management System (including GHSEApps) and generate performance reports as needed.
  • Upload Critical Incident Reports (CIRs) to the designated portal in line with DP World protocols.
  • Support and participate in incident and near-miss investigations, including evidence gathering, root cause analysis, and implementation of immediate and long-term corrective actions.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings; ensure records are maintained.
  • Enforce compliance with all DP World safety and security protocols on site.
  • Support HSE induction programs for new employees and contractors to ensure alignment with company policies.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and developments in terminal safety.
  • Implement and monitor employee engagement and awareness programs in line with DP World HSE strategy.
  • Identify and report safety deficiencies through formal reports and follow up on resolution.
  • Ensure full compliance with DP World's HSE policies, procedures, and relevant national regulations; report violations or near misses promptly.
  • Assist in preparation for internal and external HSE audits; coordinate documentation, site readiness, and close-out of audit findings.

Security

  • Oversee performance of Security Contractor to ensure:
  • Effective prevention of pilferage.
  • Access control for vehicles and pedestrians at all entry and exit points.
  • Protection of ICD assets and property within and outside the premises.
  • Security of critical infrastructure, including the fuel tank station.
  • Proper reception and escorting of delegations and foreign visitors.
  • Continuous CCTV surveillance and upkeep of all security equipment, with prompt reporting of any deficiencies.
  • Ensure ISO 28000 security procedures are implemented and maintained.
  • Assist in planning and execution of periodic security drills and exercises.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees and contractors as per ISPS Code and ISO 28000 requirements.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • Graduate in any discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HSE.
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office and safety management systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English and Urdu.
  • Working knowledge of ISPS Code and ISO 28000.
  • Practical experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with HSE audit processes, standards, and documentation.
