Position Title: Paramedic
Position Description: The Paramedic is a qualified healthcare specialist responsible for providing first aid and emergency medical response to site personnel. The role ensures continuous medical readiness, assists in preventive health activities, maintains medical equipment and supplies, and supports overall site health and safety performance through timely and effective medical intervention.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide first aid and emergency medical care in case of injury or sudden illness among site personnel.
- Respond immediately to all incidents and emergencies, ensuring stabilization of patients prior to further medical evaluation or evacuation.
- Assist in routine and scheduled health assessments for employees.
- Monitor medical supplies and ensure that first aid kits, stretchers, and medical bags are always complete and ready for use.
- Support preventive health and hygiene programs, including awareness sessions on first aid, hydration, and heat stress prevention.
- Record all medical interventions, incidents, and patient details accurately in medical logs and reports.
- Assist in organizing medical evacuation (medevac) when required and communicate relevant medical information accurately and promptly.
- Participate in safety drills, emergency response training, and health-related toolbox talks.
Company Requirements:
Must know:
- Principles of first aid and emergency medical response.
- Use of first aid and trauma equipment (bandages, splints, oxygen therapy kits, defibrillators, etc.).
- Basic anatomy, physiology, and vital sign assessment.
- Standard procedures for treating common worksite injuries (burns, fractures, dehydration, cuts, heat stress).
- Safe patient handling and transportation techniques.
- Proper documentation and confidentiality of medical information.
- Health and hygiene standards applicable to construction and industrial environments.
- Basic infection control and sanitation practices.
Qualification requirements:
- Diploma or certification in emergency medical services, paramedic science, or equivalent qualification.
- Valid Paramedic License or registration approved by a recognized health authority.
- Knowledge of trauma care, emergency transport, and on-site stabilization techniques.
- Good command of English sufficient for reporting and communication in an international work environment.
- Proficiency in the use of emergency response and first-aid equipment.
Has rights
- Access all medical facilities, records, and equipment required to perform duties.
- Request replenishment of medical supplies and replacement of equipment as necessary.
- Stop work or request assistance in the event of medical emergencies.
- Propose improvements related to emergency response readiness and health protection measures.
- Participate in health and safety meetings and provide feedback on observed medical risks.
Responsibility:
- For timely and accurate delivery of first aid and emergency care.
- For correct handling, storage, and use of medical supplies and equipment.
- For maintaining up-to-date medical and incident records.
- For ensuring patient confidentiality at all times.
- For maintaining readiness of medical and emergency equipment.
Liability of the Materially Responsible Person (MRP):
- The Paramedic is materially responsible for all medical instruments, kits, and supplies assigned to their care, ensuring proper accounting, safe storage, and use according to company standards.
Compliance with civil protection rules, including industrial and fire safety, occupational safety and health, environmental protection and energy conservation:
- The Paramedic must strictly comply with occupational safety, industrial and fire safety, and environmental protection requirements, promoting safe work practices and contributing to the health and welfare of all site personnel
Qualification:
- Certified Paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
- Skilled in trauma management, patient stabilization, and on-site emergency response.
- Trained in occupational health awareness and safe patient evacuation.
- Proficient in the use and maintenance of emergency medical equipment.
- Capable of working independently in remote environments under demanding conditions.
Experience:
- Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in emergency or industrial medical services, preferably in construction, oil & gas, or remote site operations.
Conditions:
- Project Location: Reko Diq, Balochistan, Pakistan.Rotational (shift) schedule.
- Full-time employment with official contract.
