Position Overview

Hirely Consultants is seeking a Senior Accounts Lead to support the company's financial operations. The role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of both internal and client-related accounting processes.

Main Duties

  • Manage daily banking operations and perform reconciliations for both office and client accounts.
  • Record and process all accounting transactions accurately and promptly.
  • Prepare cheques and handle all office and client payments.
  • Process online bank transfers and manage debit/credit card transactions.
  • Oversee supplier accounts, office payments, and purchase ledger activities.
  • Produce timely management and financial reports.
  • Handle payroll processing and ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare VAT returns and related submissions.
  • Submit monthly billing claims to the Legal Aid Agency.
  • Ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and other applicable regulations.
  • Handle departmental correspondence and documentation.
  • Review and improve internal accounting procedures regularly.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
  • Professional qualification in accounting (ACCA qualified or finalist preferred).
  • Strong command of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Capable of working independently and managing multiple responsibilities efficiently.
