Penumbra is a boutique design and research consultancy that works with leading global and regional organizations in technology, finance, and social impact. Our work is data-heavy, insight-driven, and highly visual—ranging from digital-first campaigns and B2B marketing to thought-leadership reports, infographics, and event design.

We're looking for a
Designer
with a strong sense of visual storytelling, who can translate complex information into engaging and accessible designs across digital and print mediums.

What You'll Do

  • Create clean, creative, and impactful
    infographics and data visualizations
    for reports, social media, and presentations.
  • Design engaging
    digital assets
    (social posts, carousels, decks, email visuals, microsite graphics, etc.) as well as
    occasional print materials
    (brochures, event branding, reports).
  • Bring ideas to life with
    animation and motion graphics
    (a strong plus).
  • Collaborate with writers, researchers, and strategists to produce design that aligns with both client needs and Penumbra's high aesthetic standards.
  • Manage competing priorities and deliver quality work
    on time
    .

What We're Looking For

  • 1–2+ years of professional design experience
    , ideally with B2B or data-heavy clients.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating
    infographics, visual storytelling, and digital-first work
    .
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign).
  • Bonus: Experience with
    animation/motion design
    .
  • Mature design sensibility—able to balance creativity with clarity and professional polish.
  • Strong time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects at once.
