Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Architectural Estimator specializing in site development and landscaping for US-based projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and ensuring competitive pricing strategies for sitework, grading, and landscaping projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for site development and landscaping projects.
  • Review construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine material, labor, and equipment costs. Utilize industry-standard estimation software (such as Bluebeam, Planswift, RSMeans, or HeavyBid).
  • Prepare value engineering options to optimize project costs. Identify project risks, potential cost overruns, and mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams for project feasibility and cost optimization.
  • Provide cost reports, bid summaries, and estimation documentation for internal review.
  • Attend bid meetings, pre-construction site visits, and assist in negotiations if required.
  • Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 1+ years of experience in civil sitework and landscaping estimation (US-based projects preferred).

Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimation software like Bluebeam, Planswift, AutoCAD, or HeavyBid.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of earthwork, grading, drainage, paving, hardscaping, irrigation, and landscaping materials.

Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders.
