We're looking for a Founder's Associate focused on Educational Content to help shape and scale our global content strategy, with the view to grow into the Head of Content role. This a remote role with compensation benchmarked to educators in Pakistan/India. Particularly seeking an educator with experience in international curricula like IGCSEs, A-Levels, or IB And driven by our mission of educational equity
What will you be working on?As Founder's Associate (Content), you will be overseeing all Academic Content development processes and quality of content, working closely with the Content Lead to optimise the content flow and lead expansion efforts. We currently support 9 national and international exams, including Cambridge & Edexcel IGCSE, A-Level, IB, and SAT.
Recognising the demand for localised content, we have launched pilots in Nigeria & Sierra Leone (WAEC), Pakistan (FBISE), and India (CBSE). Looking ahead, we will scale ZNotes in high-need regions by localising both content and platform language, particularly in rapidly growing youth populations
This pivotal role involves a blend of content leadership, operational excellence, and key stakeholder engagement, encompassing everything from recruiting contributors and ensuring content excellence to implementing strategic plans and fostering school partnerships.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance and Expansion of the Content Base:
- Build strategic partnerships and outreach campaigns/collaborations to recruit student contributors and expand the existing content base.
- Ensure content for core exam boards is up-to-date and readily available, with expert reviews completed for all key subjects.
- Integrating business and content goals in strategic planning for subjects and exam board expansion.
Content Team oversight and Content Lead support:
- Moderating content creation and expert reviewer coordination, ensuring smooth flow.
- Facilitate key meetings with the Content Lead and participate in strategic calls with other Heads and the CEO.
- Analyse current quarterly stats and operationalise next quarterly objectives with effective implementation and follow-up on action items.
Process Efficiency & Strategy:
- Feedback and engagement with the Academic Content Product Manager and Content Leads to refine or implement new operational processes.
- Developing long-term Content strategies to enhance the scalability and efficiency of operations and product
- Research and implementation of new content creation processes and training to ensure pedagogically aligned methodologies involving peer-led content creation
School Partner & Client Relations:
- Serve as the main point of contact for School partners, ensuring clear communication and a smooth pilot launch.
- Conduct training sessions with school leaders/teachers to integrate them into the system flow.
- A degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field and/or formal teacher training (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent teaching certification)
- Classroom teaching experience or curriculum development in an international context
- Deep familiarity with one or more international qualifications such as: Cambridge/Edexcel IGCSE, A-Levels, IB Diploma Programme
- Experience designing, reviewing, or managing the development of curriculum-aligned resources
- Demonstrated ability to align educational content strategy with broader organisational goals. using data to inform planning and content expansion
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work with partners across education, non-profit, and government sectors
- Familiarity with instructional design methodologies, assessment frameworks, and peer-led learning
- Ability to identify and improve operational workflows for greater efficiency, working closely with the Product team to propose and implement solutions
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with distributed and remote teams
- Collaborative and empathetic leadership style, especially when working with students and early-career professionals
As Founder's Associate (Content), you will help ZNotes strengthen its up-to-date and growing content base of high-quality educational resources. You will drive content expansion into new exam boards and languages, increase operational efficiency, leverage strategic partnerships and empower your team to support the global mission of democratising education. Following a 6-month review, we expect a successful candidate to step into the Head of Content position.
