Azure Engineer
to lead, manage, and optimize our Azure environment.

IT Director / Head of Engineering

Experience Required:
5+ Years (Minimum 3+ years hands-on Azure experience)

Role Overview

The Azure Engineer will serve as the subject matter expert for Microsoft Azure, leading cloud deployments, enterprise migrations, and infrastructure optimization. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong ownership, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, implement, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure
  • Lead
    Azure and Office 365 migration projects
    end-to-end
  • Configure and maintain Azure services (VMs, Storage, App Services, AD, AKS, Load Balancers, etc.)
  • Implement security, governance, backup, and disaster recovery policies
  • Optimize performance, cost, and scalability of cloud workloads
  • Build and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps & IaC tools (Terraform, ARM, Bicep)
  • Troubleshoot production issues, monitor cloud environments, and ensure high availability
  • Create internal documentation, SOPs, and best practices
  • Collaborate with DevOps, IT Security, and Software Engineering teams

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

  • 5+ Years total experience in IT / Cloud Engineering
  • Minimum 3+ years hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Azure AD, Azure Networking, Azure Compute, Storage, Virtual Networks
  • Office 365 / Exchange migration experience
  • Experience with Azure Backup, Monitor, Log Analytics, Defender
  • Infrastructure as Code experience with ARM, Bicep, or Terraform
  • Scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python or similar)

Preferred

  • Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, or equivalent)
  • Experience working with US-based teams
  • Knowledge of enterprise compliance (HIPAA, SOC2, ISO, etc.)

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently with ownership mindset
  • Structured documentation and reporting discipline
