Job Summary:

The Accounts Officer (Female) is responsible for managing and tracking incoming payments, ensuring accurate invoicing, reconciling accounts, and maintaining financial records. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients and internal departments to ensure timely collections and financial accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:1. Invoicing & Billing

  • Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers.
  • Verify billing information and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain records of all sales transactions and invoices.

2. Accounts Receivable Management

  • Monitor accounts receivable ledger to ensure timely payments.
  • Follow up on overdue payments via calls, emails, and written notices.
  • Record and process payments received, ensuring accurate ledger updates.
  • Apply cash receipts and allocate payments correctly.

3. Reconciliation & Reporting

  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare aging reports and monitor outstanding balances.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities and financial reporting.

4. Customer & Internal Liaison

  • Communicate with clients regarding billing issues and payment terms.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve disputes.
  • Provide customer statements and account summaries upon request.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, finance, or accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of financial reporting and reconciliation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
