Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Network Administrator with strong expertise in Network-Attached Storage (NAS) systems and DiskStation Manager (DSM). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity, data security, and backup reliability, while also supporting hardware setup, troubleshooting, and basic website management for our organization.

This role requires a hands-on professional who can handle multi-layered IT operations, optimize network performance, and collaborate with internal teams to support overall business functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Management:
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain enterprise networks, including NAS and DSM-based storage systems.
  • Ensure optimal uptime, stability, and performance of all network infrastructure and storage solutions.
  • Manage firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and network access controls.
  • Implement and maintain data backup, disaster recovery, and storage optimization strategies.
  • Monitor and maintain NAS permissions, shared folders, and secure access protocols.
  • Hardware Support:
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain IT hardware, including servers, NAS devices, workstations, and peripheral devices.
  • Manage network cabling, connectivity, and hardware upgrades as needed.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement, repairs, and warranty claims.
  • Website Administration:
  • Provide basic website management and support (hosting, DNS, SSL certificates, security patches, minor updates).
  • Liaise with external developers or IT teams for advanced website improvements.
  • System Monitoring & Documentation:
  • Perform regular system health checks, data integrity verifications, and backups.
  • Maintain updated documentation of network configurations, storage setups, hardware inventory, and IT procedures.
  • Identify and mitigate potential network and data storage vulnerabilities.
  • User Support:
  • Provide Level 2–3 support for network and NAS-related issues and escalate as required.
  • Train end-users on NAS usage, network best practices, and IT policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years in network administration, with proven expertise in NAS solutions and DiskStation Manager (DSM).
  • Hands-on experience with network hardware, Windows/Linux server environments, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Exposure to basic website administration (WordPress, cPanel, or similar platforms).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and network security.
  • Expertise in NAS setup, DSM configurations, RAID management, data replication, and remote access solutions.
  • Experience with firewall management, routing, and switching.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and backup tools (e.g., PRTG, Synology Hyper Backup, Veeam).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Certifications (Preferred): CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Synology Certified Specialist, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs50, Rs100,000.00 per month
