Job Overview

We are seeking a QC Officer for our Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) Division. The role involves ensuring welding quality, dimensional accuracy, and overall compliance. The position requires strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding standards, and quality inspection methods to maintain the structural integrity and safety.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of welding processes.
  • Familiarity with steel fabrication standards and PEB structures.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
  • Attention to detail with strong quality control and inspection skills.
  • Good communication and reporting abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project timelines.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Civil.
  • Welding Inspector certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in welding quality control, preferably in PEB or steel fabrication industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with approved drawings, welding procedures, and material specifications.
  • Inspect and verify welding quality and dimensions of columns, rafters, and other PEB members.
  • Conduct visual inspections and dimensional checks during and after welding.
  • Prepare and maintain quality inspection reports and documentation.
  • Monitor adherence to safety standards and quality guidelines in fabrication shop.
  • Coordinate with production and engineering teams to address non-conformities.
  • Recommend corrective and preventive measures for quality improvement.
  • Support external audits and client inspections when required.
  • Final Inspection and Quality Assurance.
