We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commis Chef female to join our Cold Kitchen team. In this role, you will assist in the preparation and presentation of cold dishes, including salads, dressings, , cold appetizers, This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop foundational culinary skills in a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cold dishes such as salads, sandwiches, dressings, dips, and under the supervision of the Chef de Partie.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the cold kitchen station.
- Maintain consistent quality and presentation standards for all cold items.
- Ensure ingredients are properly washed, cut, portioned, and stored.
- Practice proper food handling and hygiene standards at all times.
- Label, date, and store food items in compliance with food safety standards.
- Clean and maintain cold kitchen workstations, equipment, and tools.
- Communicate effectively with other kitchen sections to support smooth operations.
- Follow portion control guidelines and minimize food waste.
Requirements:
- Basic culinary training or previous kitchen experience preferred (cold kitchen experience is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and presentation.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Eagerness to learn and work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Knife skills and familiarity with cold prep techniques are desirable.
