The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the organization's financial accounting, reporting, and compliance functions. The position requires strong technical knowledge of IFRS, corporate taxation, financial controls, and system-based accounting (ERP). The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial data while supporting management in decision-making and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Accounting & Reporting
  • Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring accurate reconciliations.
  • Oversee general ledger postings, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Assist in preparation and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Provide variance analysis and financial insights to management.
  • Compliance & Audit
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, corporate tax filings, and other regulatory obligations.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing necessary schedules and support.
  • Implement and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Cost & Management Accounting
  • Monitor and control costs through detailed analysis of expenses.
  • Support business units with management reporting, profitability analysis, and cost optimization strategies.
  • ERP & Process Improvement
  • Utilize ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle) for efficient financial management.
  • Lead process automation and continuous improvement initiatives in financial operations.
  • Team Leadership
  • Supervise junior accountants and finance staff, providing guidance and mentoring.
  • Support the CFO in strategic financial projects, including M&A, restructuring, and investment appraisals.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Chartered Accountant (ACA) with 7 years of post-qualification experience in corporate/industrial environment or Big 4 firm.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation laws, and corporate finance.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Odoo, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
  • Advanced MS Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
