We are seeking an experienced NinjaTrader Strategy Developer to build and refine a multi-timeframe Fair Value Gap (FVG) trading bot. The bot will operate on higher timeframes (HTF – 15m, 1h) to detect valid FVGs, and then drill down to lower timeframes (LTF – 30s, 1m) for precise trade execution.

This will be a two-step bot (criteria + execution) designed to enter short trades with strict rules for validation, entry, stop-loss, take-profit, and exit conditions. The developer will also need to adapt the logic for backtesting and live trading separately.

Responsibilities

Implement a multi-timeframe trading strategy in NinjaScript (C# for NinjaTrader).

Step 1: Detect valid HTF FVG zones (customizable lookback, minimum gap size, invalidation logic).

Step 2: Enter trades based on LTF gap inversions, with dynamic stop-loss and take-profit rules.

Handle conditions such as:

HTF gap validity (invalidation if inverted).

Minimum gap size (3 points).

Customizable parameters for position size, TP1, TP2, TP3, SL.

Exit trades upon opposite gap inversion.

Maintain separate code for backtesting and live execution.

Optimize performance for on-tick calculations and smooth execution.

Create clean, well-documented, and scalable code that can be modified later.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience with NinjaTrader 8 strategy development.

Proficiency in C# and NinjaScript API.

Hands-on experience with:

Multi-timeframe data series (AddDataSeries).

Order handling (EnterLong, EnterShort, ExitLong, ExitShort).

Drawing tools (Draw.Rectangle, FVG visualization).

Trade management (partial exits, scaling out at TP1/TP2/TP3).

Experience implementing price action–based strategies (supply/demand, FVG, imbalance zones, etc.).

Familiarity with backtesting frameworks and optimizing strategies.

Knowledge of live execution handling (slippage, spread, stop-loss precision).

Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and optimize performance in real-time environments.

Nice to Have

Experience coding custom indicators in NinjaTrader.

Understanding of ICT concepts / Smart Money Concepts (SMC).

Prior work with multi-account execution or trade copier logic.

Knowledge of trading automation best practices (risk management, error handling).

Deliverables

Fully functional NinjaTrader strategy with parameters for customization.

Separate versions for backtesting and live execution.

Clear documentation and inline code comments.

Testing assistance to validate strategy performance.
