MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Home Management

  • Make efforts towards the achievement of Roshni Homes Vision by practicing Values.
  • Supervised the entire activities of the assigned home.
  • Serve, and have meals with children.
  • Prepare and provide snacks to children for school.
  • Ensure sufficient supplies of food and other household materials.
  • Assign and supervise tasks to be performed by the Maid.
  • Act as custodian of all assets and fixtures provided at home and ensure the upkeep of the same.
  • Identify, analyze, and solve issues of administrative nature, related to the assigned home.
  • Keep close liaison with the Administrator for effective management of the assigned home.
  • Develop and maintain harmonious and healthy relationships with peers and residents of other homes.

Children Management

  • Be a role model for all the children and demonstrate a high degree of moral, social, and ethical behavior.
  • Ensure execution of all educational, social, and extracurricular activities as guided by the daily
  • Schedule. Be flexible where necessary to avoid a mechanistic lifestyle.
  • Spend maximum time with children and socialize with them to inculcate e family-like environment at home.
  • Train and coach children on moral, ethical, and social norms of a moderate society.
  • Educate children on character and personality-building attributes through formal and informal discussions.
  • Create a sense of belonging, love, care, harmony, and respect among the children within the home as well as children and caretakers of other homes.
  • Encourage and develop healthy relationships among all children in general and between real brothers and sisters in particular.
  • Refrain from punishing, and resolve problems by eliminating causes and frequent
  • counseling of children.
  • Make children receptive and accommodative to newly inducted children and ensure that new
  • children are made part of the family quickly.
  • Pay close attention to newly inducted children and help them settle down in the minimum possible time.
  • Create a sense of social responsibility in elder children towards the young ones.
  • Keep close liaison with school teachers and take appropriate measures to improve children's educational productivity at school.
  • Conduct educational activities in a way that children should be prepared for the next day's lectures at school.
  • Purchase clothes and other necessities, for children and ensure sufficient quantities of the same.
  • Provide adequate space for every child in's life and keeps personal belongings.
  • Keep close liaison with psychologists and get help to resolve children's problems of such nature.
  • Take care of children's physical and mental health and seek advice from Roshni Home's Doctor when necessary.
  • It is 24/7 duty on campus. Residence, Food and other services will be provided.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respect confidentiality of children's background and history.
  • Focus on functional responsibilities and prevent involvement in unpleasant, unnecessary gossip with others, and interference in matters of other homes.
  • Immediately report any unusual observation in the children, to the Administrator and find a mutually agreed solution that is best for the child.
  • All the tasks must reflect the purpose and values of Roshni Homes.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED

EDUCATION

Bachelor/Masters in Social/ Education Sciences

Age Criteria: 30+ Years

Mentally, emotionally, healthy and matured candidates are preferred.

Status: Roshni Homes Trust gives preference to widow, without children, divorced and abandoned needy women.

EXPERIENCE

At least two years experience of teaching or working in a similar organization.
