We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in Autodesk Inventor to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring at least 4 years of hands-on experience in 3D mechanical design, product development, and engineering documentation. You will be responsible for designing, modeling, and improving mechanical components and assemblies, ensuring they meet functional, manufacturable, and cost-effective requirements.

Key Responsibilities


• Develop detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor.


• Create and maintain engineering documentation, including BOMs, technical specifications, and manufacturing drawings.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, R&D, and quality) to optimize designs for production.


• Perform tolerance analysis, fit, and functional checks to ensure design reliability.


• Conduct design revisions and implement engineering changes based on feedback.


• Support prototype development, testing, and validation of mechanical designs.


• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.


• Participate in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) reviews.


• Provide technical support during the product lifecycle, from concept to production.

Qualifications & Skills


• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.


• 4+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering.


• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (3D modeling, parametric design, simulation tools).


• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes (CNC machining, sheet metal, welding, injection molding, etc.).


• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and industry drafting standards.


• Experience with PDM/PLM systems (preferred).


• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.


• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred (Nice to Have)


• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and simulation within Inventor or other CAE tools.


• Exposure to automation equipment, industrial machinery, or product design.


• Familiarity with other CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) as supplementary skills.
