Company Description

HOPES (Help of Patients in Exigency by Students) is a non-political welfare organization operated by the students of Karachi Medical and Dental College (KMDC). The organization focuses on alleviating human suffering through various initiatives, such as running free drug banks, no-profit pharmacies, and discounted diagnostic laboratories. HOPES also provides free diagnostic and radiological tests, blood, and blood products for the underprivileged. Our efforts extend to assisting in natural disasters and organizing annual events to raise funds for our cause. We rely on the continuous support of kind and generous people, both locally and abroad, to improve the lives of those in need.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant, based in the Karachi Central Division. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with regulations, and analyzing financial data. Daily tasks may include recording transactions, reconciling accounts, processing payroll, and preparing tax returns. The Accountant will collaborate closely with other team members to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective financial management.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
  • Experience in financial record-keeping and preparing financial statements
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial analysis
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Professional certification such as CPA is a plus
  • Experience with accounting software and tools
  • Familiarity with tax preparation and compliance
