Position Objectives:

  • Responsible for supporting community mobilization, extending project outreach, ensuring inclusion and assisting in capacity building. Also responsible for supporting effective field implementation, team management and coordination with stakeholders.

Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities:

  • Conduct baseline assessments for the health, WASH and CVA activities.

Coordinate and mobilize communities to conduct focus group discussions in the project target areas.

Facilitate the formation of an appropriate village-level committee for project interventions and maintenance of the schemes.

4

Orientation of the village committee member on the project intervention, process and routine capacity building.

5

Responsible for MHT villages plan development and coordinating with the village committee, PRCS, and DHO office in Bajaur.

6

Facilitate registration process of the beneficiaries for CVA, health and WASH activities. Identification and involvement of the vulnerable groups and families in the project planning and implementation.

Conduct regular meetings with local committee members and volunteers.

Facilitate the field team in conducting field activities, surveys, and resource need assessments.

Keep close coordination and liaison with the field team, communities and partners and assist all in data collection from the field.

Develop strong relationships with the community and engage Diverse Organizations, Community Leaders, and residents of the intervention areas.

Take the lead in the resolution and management of the relevant community conflicts over common resource utilization in the project area.

Reporting the progress on a regular basis. Ensuring all project data and administrative documentation are recorded and saved as per the organization procedure and guidelines.

Help the technical staff in organizing community meetings, workshops and campaigns.

Ensure close coordination with the technical team and provide support in the implementation of project activities.

Identify beneficiaries for and document success stories/case studies/ human interest stories. Ensuring visibility of mobilization and inclusion according to the Organization's policy.

Document and share lessons learnt, achievements and successes from the field.

Prepare site-specific activities related work plans in accordance with the project outputs and in consultation with the Project Officer/District Program Officer.

Monitoring the village committee and verifying the identified school, water schemes, sites and beneficiaries, according to the predefined criteria through regular follow-ups and visits.

Preparation and submission of project reports

Education

Master's or Bachelor's, education in Social Science/ Management or in any relevant field from HEC recognized Institute / University.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of working experience relevant to health, WASH, CVA, and emergency projects, especially during displacement and response to the emergency.
  • Ability of work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues.
  • Displays culture, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability.

Skills / Knowledge

  • Fluency in spoken and written in Urdu/ Pashtu & English
  • Strong knowledge of social mobilization and survey tools.
  • Experience in emergency projects and conducting surveys is an advantage.
  • Work towards the achievement of PRCS Vision and long-term objectives
  • Flexibility to travel to conduct field visits for monitoring and data collection
  • Good command on Microsoft Office (word, excel & power point).
  • Previous experience in community-based programs is required.
  • Flexibility in working hours.
  • Has good interpersonal relationships with (Projects engineers, community leaders, supervisors, other actors, etc.)

Maximum age limit, up to 40 years.

Extensive travelling/travel to field locations with MHT as required
