We are seeking an eBook Formatting Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for formatting and converting manuscripts into various eBook formats, ensuring high-quality presentation across all digital platforms. This role requires attention to detail, a good understanding of eBook publishing standards, and proficiency in formatting software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Format manuscripts for eBook publishing, ensuring compliance with industry standards (ePub, MOBI, PDF).
  • Convert manuscripts from various formats (Word, HTML, etc.) into eBook formats.
  • Review and proofread eBooks for errors, ensuring the final product is polished and professional.
  • Collaborate with authors, editors, and designers to achieve desired layouts and styles.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in eBook formatting and publishing.
  • Assist in troubleshooting formatting issues and implement solutions as needed.
  • Maintain organized records of formatted eBooks and project timelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Publishing, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in eBook formatting and conversion.
  • Proficiency in formatting software (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Calibre, Sigil).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.
  • Familiarity with eBook distribution platforms (Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, etc.).
  • Good communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS for advanced formatting.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
