Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Storekeeper to manage inventory and supplies within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, and inventory control. This role requires effective communication and negotiation skills to maintain relationships with suppliers and ensure the efficient operation of our warehouse.

Duties

• Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials within the warehouse.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems and data analysis tools such as SQL.
• Conduct regular stock audits and implement inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies.
• Manage purchasing processes, including sourcing materials and negotiating contracts with suppliers.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate transportation management and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Utilize process improvement techniques to enhance operational efficiency within the warehouse.
• Assist in demand planning and production planning activities to align inventory levels with business needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating forklifts and handling materials.
• Facilitate shipping & receiving operations, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Engage in vendor management to maintain strong relationships with suppliers and optimize procurement strategies.

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse management, inventory management, or related fields.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection and supply chain analytics.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, AS400, or transportation management systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of logistics principles including freight handling, dispatching, and order fulfillment.
• Excellent negotiation skills for effective supplier management and contract negotiations.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis to identify issues within supply chain processes.
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus for understanding equipment used in materials handling.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and external partners.
• Experience in e-commerce operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
