About the Role

DIGIQAL is seeking a skilled Unity Developer experienced in Open World game development. You'll be working on next-generation experiences featuring vast interactive worlds, advanced AI, mission systems, vehicles, and realistic combat mechanics. If you're passionate about creating immersive free-roam gameplay — from high-speed racing to intense shooting and dynamic environments — this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities


• Design and implement core gameplay systems for open world exploration, combat, and missions.


• Develop vehicle systems (cars, bikes, boats, aircraft) with realistic physics for racing and roaming.


• Build weapon and combat systems for both ranged and melee encounters.


• Implement AI behaviors for enemies, civilians, and wildlife — including navigation, pathfinding, and state machines.


• Create dynamic environmental systems such as weather, day/night cycles, and time-based events.


• Develop mission frameworks, checkpoints, and event triggers for open world storytelling.


• Optimize terrain, lighting, and streaming for large-scale performance on mobile, PC, and console.


• Collaborate with designers and artists to bring immersive open worlds to life.


• Profile and optimize performance for CPU, GPU, and memory efficiency.

Requirements


• 1+ years of professional Unity experience


• Proven work on open world or sandbox games (portfolio or demo required).


• Strong grasp of:


• Terrain tools, LODs, and streaming


• Physics, vehicle controllers, and combat systems


• AI pathfinding


• Lighting, shaders, URP/HDRP rendering


• Experience with Git version control.


• Strong problem-solving and optimization skills.

Nice to Have


• Experience with multiplayer or co-op systems


• Knowledge of procedural world generation and runtime terrain loading.


• Familiarity with cinematics, dialogue systems, or quest editors.


• Experience with Unreal Engine or hybrid development.
