Qualifications:
BSc / BE / ME / MSc Civil Engineering
Experience: 10– 15 years of relevant experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all contract maters and ensures that all sections are aware of the contractual requirement.
- Ensure that the contractor's performance meets the contractual requirement.
- Ensure that employer performs according to the terms of the contract
- Advises PM/SM to ensure that all verbal and written instructions issued by Engineer and/or Employer's staff are notified and copied to the department of contract matters immediately on daily basis.
- Ensure that execution of work & major events under the contract are notified to the engineer and the employer.
- Responsible for preparation of claims and variation orders in accordance with contract provisions and dispute resolution procedures
- Review progress and advise PM/SM of the implications of delay in order to make improvements in the rate of progress.
- Review and compare the tender drawings and construction drawings and determine the impact of contractual alterations, additions or omissions
- Responsible for making necessary agreements for subcontractors as per requirement of the project
- Responsible for dealing with contract matters in respect of work-subcontracted through sub-contractor sections such as issuing instructions to the sub-contractor and certification of payments to the subcontractors for the work done each month
- Responsible for preparation and submission of substantiate and settle extension of time claim with the engineer / employer.
- Responsible to issue contractual notices to Engineer/Employer of all events that may result in Extension of Time and/or Additional Costs and variations under the contact provisions.
- Accountable to create a safe working environment, manage risks, reduce exposure to hazardous liability and ensure implementation of QHSE policy
