Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Social Media Video Editor at Techwaresoft (Karachi). As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for editing and creating engaging social media reels, trend-based videos, and other short-form content that aligns with our brand's voice and marketing objectives. You will collaborate with the marketing team to deliver creative and impactful content for various platforms.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in video editing (specifically for social media marketing)

Strong grasp of social media trends, formats, and storytelling styles

Proven ability to create engaging reels, memes, carousels, and short-form videos

Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software

Hands-on experience with AI tools for generating images and videos

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

Edit and produce high-quality reels, short videos, and social-first visual content

Use AI tools to ideate, generate, and enhance visual and video content

Stay updated with social media trends and adapt them creatively for brand campaigns

Collaborate with marketing and content teams to brainstorm and execute video ideas

Repurpose and optimize existing content for multiple platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn)

Add compelling CTAs, subtitles, and other elements to increase engagement

Ensure all video output aligns with brand guidelines, tone, and audience preferences

Must Have

Context awareness — ability to tailor content according to brand tone, audience, and objectives

Meme-savviness with a deep understanding of Gen Z/Millennial humor, internet culture, and trending formats

Ability to leverage AI-generated visuals and videos effectively in content creation

Fast learning and self-driven approach to ideation and execution

Strong storytelling ability through visuals and sound

Ability to deliver consistently under deadlines

Nice to Have

Experience with motion graphics, animation, or special effects

Knowledge of SEO and how video impacts digital marketing performance

Experience in creating influencer-style or UGC (user-generated content) videos

Familiarity with paid ad video editing (Facebook/Instagram ads)
