The Position:

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer for the development of our Reach150 product, which is a Testimonial, Referral and Online Reputation Management platform that is used by relationship-driven professionals, including real estate agents and teams, brokerages, mortgage lenders, title representatives, insurance agents, and other service providers who rely heavily on trust and referrals to grow their business. The hired candidate will be working within the R&D division of Constellation1.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or a certificate from a technical training institute

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• 1-2 years of experience in JAVA web application development using Spring, Struts 2, Hibernate and Tomcat or any similar frameworks

• Experience using JavaScript/jQuery and other JS libraries

• Experience with CSS/Bootstrap and HTML

• Experience building and consuming REST APIs

• Basic SQL experience

• Experience using MySql

• Experience debugging server side and client-side issues

• Ability to solve complex problems independently

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment

Nice To Have:

• Experience in NodeJS

• Experience with PHP

• Basic understanding of Linux environment and AWS cloud

Job Responsibilities

• Analyzing code and/or customer data to answer business questions as needed

• Analyzing and understanding requirements and gathering additional details where needed to complete the deliverables

• Designing well planned/organized solutions that meet requirements and are easily maintainable

• Writing clean, well-documented code that adheres to team standards and best practices

• Take ownership of coding assignments with minimal supervision required

• Updating tickets with relevant notes for knowledge sharing and historical record

• Testing code changes before passing off to QA

• Providing notes to QA team as needed to ensure coverage of test cases

• Attending and participating in all Agile related meetings, breakouts, etc.

• Identifying improvements that can be made to increase performance or improve features

• Identifying tech debt that can be addressed to push the codebase forward and make it more maintainable

• Researching and recommending new tools, techniques and technologies
