Job Description

Oracle Database Administrator is responsible for installation and maintaining Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and Oracle Databases. Oracle DBA should have EBS expertise including Upgrade, Cloning, Patching, SR Management, DR Management, Backup, SSL and other technical Issues.

  • Experience in an implementation of Oracle EBS scalability enhancements
  • Oracle RAC, Dataguard, Golden Gate, Weblogic, Oracle ERP, Postgre SQL database
  • Experience in performing health checks of database system.
  • Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases.
  • Performance tuning of the Oracle database instances.
  • Implements and enforces security for all of the Oracle Databases.
  • Plans and implements backup and recovery of the Oracle database.
  • Evaluates releases of Oracle and its tools, to ensure that release upgrade takes place with minimal impact.
  • Enforces and maintains database constraints to ensure integrity of the database.
  • Regular monitoring of systems, tunes the databases to achieve optimal performance.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal & written. Ability to work independently & learn new technologies.
  • Works closely with Corporate Clients for all administration tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Master/ Bachelor's Degree in Computer science, Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Candidate having at-least 5-6 Years of Proven experience of Managing Large Scale Oracle databases (10g,11g,12c,19c) in a Production Environment.
  • Oracle EBS (Upgrade, Cloning, Patching, SR Management, DR Management, Backup & SSL Management).
  • Oracle RAC, Dataguard, Oracle Cloud Control, Partitioning.
  • Strong skills in RMAN backup and recovery etc. data pump, Export/Import, Hot/Cold Backup.
  • Strong skills in database Performance Tuning.
  • Knowledge and experience of Linux/ Solaris administration.
  • Good Working Knowledge of SAN.
  • Experience in looking after 24×7 environments.
  • Experience in working under a production support & pressured environment.
  • Troubleshooting, problem-solving and able to drive issues to resolution.

Other desirable skills:

  • Experience of managing Exadata along with Oracle RAC and Dataguard with Oracle Enterprise Linux will be a Plus
  • Oracle Golden Gate, Database Vault, Audit Vault will be a plus.
  • Experience in a vendor environment will be a plus.
  • Oracle Certifications will be a plus.
