Job Description:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor slitting machines to cut rolls according to job specifications.
  • Read and interpret job orders, production schedules, and specifications.
  • Load parent rolls onto the slitting machine using hoists or other equipment.
  • Adjust machine settings (tension, speed, blade settings, etc.) for optimal cutting and accuracy.
  • Inspect raw material and finished rolls to ensure quality standards (width, length, core alignment, print registration, etc.).
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance of slitting machines.
  • Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and identification of finished rolls.
  • Maintain records of production output, waste, downtime, and quality checks.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized working environment.
