Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Java Developer with 3 to 4 years of experience to lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade, high-volume web applications. This is a leadership role, where you will guide and mentor Java development teams, work closely with cross-functional teams, and contribute to both technical and business strategy. You will be involved in building state-of-the-art solutions using Java and JEE technologies, with a focus on software architecture, project management, and end-to-end development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-performance, enterprise-grade web applications and platforms leveraging Java and JEE technologies.
  • Lead and mentor Java, Front-end, and Database development teams, ensuring high standards of code quality, scalability, and performance.
  • Architect, implement, and support Java-based components, services, and interfaces that meet business requirements.
  • Guide project teams in breaking down features into user stories and ensuring timely and quality delivery.
  • Participate in design discussions, solution design sessions, and review processes with product management and software development teams.
  • Contribute to evaluating, prototyping, and selecting software solutions.
  • Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices and leverage software quality measurement tools to ensure software reliability.
  • Work closely with investment teams to understand business needs and deliver appropriate technical solutions.
  • Oversee the documentation of application changes and updates, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Lead code reviews and enforce coding best practices across teams.

  • Manage project timelines, ensuring that milestones are met, and issues are resolved in a timely manner.

  • Technical Expertise:

  • Strong expertise in Java and JEE technologies.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and developing high-volume, high-performance web applications.
  • Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, frameworks like React/Angular).
  • Strong knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and software quality tools.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with financial services applications, specifically in areas like Equity, Equity Derivatives, and Prime Finance, especially from a pricing or risk management perspective.
  • Prior experience in leading teams and managing technical projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders and business teams effectively.
