THE DIVISION

4GL Solutions is a software company that has been in business since 1984 and specializes in the development and distribution of ERP software for Steel Service Centers in North America and Internationally. The rapid growth of this company has led to several key positions opening. We are seeking bright, motivated individuals to fill these positions and become part of our team of experts.

THE POSITION

We're looking for an experienced and collaborative Mid-level Full Stack Web Developer to help drive the evolution of our web-based customer portal platform and future mobile-ready apps. You'll play a critical hands-on role in shaping the architecture, writing robust code, and working closely with a small but driven development team.
This is a highly impactful position ideal for someone who enjoys both building systems from the ground up and learning through collaboration.
The selected candidate will work out of the Contour Software Karachi/Lahore/Islamabad office, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and enhance our customer portal and upcoming PWA/mobile web applications using React, , and

• Collaborate closely with our existing web developer, sharing best practices and jointly developing features.

• Design scalable backend APIs and data flows integrated with an Oracle database.

• Influence architectural decisions and technology choices as we expand our web ecosystem.

• Contribute clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the stack.

• Engage in thoughtful peer reviews and promote a culture of high standards.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience as a full stack developer or equivalent in a production environment.

• Strong command of JavaScript/TypeScript, particularly with React and

• Solid experience with for backend development.

• Proficient in configuring and managing Nginx.

• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with Oracle or similar relational databases.

• Able to take initiative in shaping processes and structure.

• Clear communicator who can work independently while also being deeply collaborative

• Experience sharing knowledge and improving team capabilities through example and discussion

• Comfortable in a small-team, low-bureaucracy setting

• Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tooling is a plus, but not required
