We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive 

Web Developer & Digital Communications Specialist

to join our agency team. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining client and internal websites, ensuring functionality, performance, and security. Additionally, the individual will manage newsletter development, testing, and deployment.

While our design team will provide visual assets and layouts, this role requires strong technical execution, coding expertise, and the ability to translate designs into responsive, user-friendly web experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Website Development & Maintenance

  • Develop and implement websites based on designs provided by the agency's design team.
  • Maintain and update existing agency and client websites, ensuring uptime, speed, and functionality.
  • Implement best practices in website coding, SEO optimization, and cross-browser/device compatibility.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website bugs, technical issues, and plugin conflicts.
  • Manage hosting environments, domains, and SSL certificates.
  • Ensure websites are secure, regularly backed up, and compliant with modern standards.

Newsletter Development & Deployment

  • Build responsive email newsletters based on creative layouts from the design team.
  • Code and test email templates for compatibility across major email clients (Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail, etc.).
  • Manage mailing lists, subscriber data, and deployment through email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, Campaign Monitor, etc.).
  • Track performance metrics (open rates, CTRs, bounce rates) and share insights for improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in 
    HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP

- Strong understanding of 
WordPress

(custom themes, plugins, CMS management) and/or other CMS platforms.
- Experience with 
email newsletter development

and platforms like Mailchimp, HubSpot, or Campaign Monitor.
- Knowledge of 
responsive design principles

and ability to code for multiple devices.
- Understanding of 
SEO fundamentals

and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with 
website hosting, domain management, and security protocols

.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

Collaboration & Process

  • Work closely with the design team to translate creative ideas into technical execution.
  • Collaborate with account managers to understand client requirements and deliver on timelines.
  • Stay updated with latest trends in web technologies, CMS platforms, and email development best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in web development and/or email marketing.
  • Experience working in an agency environment a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of Google Analytics, tracking codes, and tag managers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
