: 8 hours a day, 6 days a week

About The Role
We are seeking experienced and hands-on Fabrication Foremen to directly supervise our workshop teams. This role is essential for the day-to-day execution of our fabrication projects, ensuring that work is completed on time, to specification, and with the highest regard for quality and safety. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader from the tools, with a deep understanding of pipe supports fabrication and the ability to translate complex drawings into finished products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of fabricators and fitters in the daily production of pipe supports and related structural fabrications.
  • Read, interpret, and explain complex engineering drawings, schematics, and isometrics to the team to ensure accurate execution of work.
  • Plan and assign daily tasks to team members, optimizing manpower and resources to meet project deadlines and productivity targets.
  • Conduct quality checks on fabricated components to ensure they meet all dimensional and specification requirements before they move to the next stage.
  • Enforce strict adherence to all company safety policies and procedures on the shop floor, promoting a zero-incident culture.
  • Train and mentor junior fabricators, improving overall team skill and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with the planning and quality control (QC) departments to ensure a smooth workflow and address any technical issues promptly.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Minimum qualification of DAE (Diploma of Associate Engineer) in Mechanical, Intermediate, or ITI in Mechanical.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in a steel or pipe fabrication workshop, with specific expertise in fabricating pipe supports.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Must possess strong skills in drawing interpretation.

  • Proven hands-on experience with fabrication tools, machinery, and techniques.

  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of skilled craftsmen effectively.

  • Personal Attributes: Must be hardworking, proactive, and possess a strong sense of responsibility for team output and quality.
