We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of electrical systems, a strong background in large-scale projects, and a proven track record of designing solutions that comply with all local regulations. This role requires a self-motivated professional with exceptional leadership abilities to oversee projects from conception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of complex electrical systems for various projects, ensuring all designs meet project specifications, budget, and timeline requirements.
  • Prepare detailed electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, layouts, schematics, and other technical documentation using industry-standard software.
  • Perform electrical load calculations, short circuit analyses, and coordination studies to ensure the safety and efficiency of all designs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, civil engineers, and project managers, to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall project plans.
  • Review and approve technical submittals, vendor drawings, and equipment specifications.
  • Ensure all design work strictly adheres to TAQA/ADDC regulations, procedures, and requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design documents and standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in electrical design engineering, with at least 10 years of specific experience in the Abu Dhabi market.
  • Proven proficiency with electrical design software, including Revit, AutoCAD, and ETAP.
  • Possession of a valid license to practice from the Abu Dhabi Municipality and approval from the Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC).
  • Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience with TAQA/ADDC regulations, procedures, and requirements.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, with excellent communication and strong leadership skills.
