Job Summary:

The
Principal Solution Architect – Pre-Sales
will lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative technical solutions for the IT product
Sangfor
. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams—including product management, engineering, and clients—to ensure that solutions meet both business objectives and technical excellence standards. The incumbent will serve as the technical authority during the pre-sales process, ensuring that proposed architectures are scalable, secure, and aligned with client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design & Architecture

  • Develop and maintain an end-to-end technical architecture for Sangfor, incorporating all required modules and integrations as defined by the product roadmap.
  • Ensure the solution design meets high standards of scalability, security, and performance.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into detailed technical solutions in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Apply industry best practices to ensure maintainability, reliability, and long-term efficiency.
  • Conduct regular performance assessments and implement optimization strategies.

Pre-Sales & Client Engagement

  • Partner with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to gather, analyze, and prioritize business and deployment requirements.
  • Present and explain complex technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Define project scope, deliverables, and timelines aligned with client goals and organizational strategy.
  • Support the sales team during client presentations, demos, and proposal preparations by providing technical expertise.

Technical Governance & Documentation

  • Establish and maintain detailed technical documentation, including requirements specifications, architecture diagrams, and deployment blueprints.
  • Conduct design and code reviews to ensure compliance with architectural standards and best practices.
  • Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies to ensure solution integrity.

Leadership & Mentorship

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and solution consultants.
  • Conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing workshops to strengthen team capabilities.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure efficient resolution of technical support requests and smooth project execution.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and Sangfor product advancements.
  • Evaluate and implement new tools, methodologies, and frameworks that enhance technical performance and solution quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maintain the company's competitive edge in IT architecture and pre-sales excellence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 15–18 years of experience in IT solution design, architecture, and pre-sales.
  • Proven expertise in developing secure, scalable, and high-performance technical architectures.
  • In-depth knowledge of network architecture, firewalls, VPNs, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities for engaging both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and mentoring technical professionals.
