Deputy General Manager – Cybersecurity

Job Purpose

To lead and strengthen the organization's cybersecurity posture, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and systems across all operations. The role focuses on developing and implementing robust security strategies, governance frameworks, and risk management practices in line with international cybersecurity standards.

Knowledge

  1. In-depth understanding of information security principles, frameworks, and controls (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, COBIT).

  2. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance practices.

  3. Expertise in security operations, incident management, penetration testing, and digital forensics.

  4. Familiarity with ERP and SAP cybersecurity, including system hardening and access control mechanisms.

  5. Knowledge of network, cloud, and endpoint security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption solutions.

Skills

  1. Proven ability to lead enterprise-wide cybersecurity programs and risk mitigation initiatives.

  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for handling complex security incidents.

  3. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including executive-level reporting.

  4. Technical proficiency in SIEM tools, endpoint protection platforms, and vulnerability management systems.

  5. Strategic thinking with the ability to align cybersecurity initiatives with business goals.

Abilities & Competencies

  1. Ability to design and implement cybersecurity strategies aligned with global best practices.

  2. Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities to manage multidisciplinary teams.

  3. Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and integrate them into the cybersecurity framework.

  4. Sound judgment and decision-making in incident response and crisis management scenarios.

  5. Commitment to organizational values of integrity, innovation, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  1. Master's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related discipline (MBA or international certification preferred).

2.
15+ years
of experience in cybersecurity management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.

  1. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer are highly desirable.

  2. Experience in industrial, oil & gas, or enterprise-scale cybersecurity is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy, policies, and governance frameworks.

  2. Oversee the design and execution of risk assessments, security audits, and compliance programs.

  3. Lead Security Operations Center (SOC) activities including threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.

  4. Collaborate with IT and business leaders to align cybersecurity practices with enterprise goals and compliance requirements.

  5. Ensure business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis management plans are effectively maintained and tested.

  6. Manage cyber risk assessments for ERP, cloud, and infrastructure platforms, ensuring protection of digital assets.

  7. Coordinate with regulators, auditors, and vendors to maintain adherence to industry standards and certifications.

  8. Drive organization-wide cybersecurity awareness, training, and capacity-building initiatives.

  9. Monitor emerging threats and ensure continuous improvement of the organization's cybersecurity defense posture.
