Dealer Information Systems Corporation (Client) is a leading business management software provider to agricultural, construction, truck refrigeration and lift truck dealers in North America. Founded in 1980, based of Bellingham WA (USA); we are a team of 100+ professionals who help customers with Software, Hardware and Network Management so they don't have to deal with many vendors but just one full-service company.

The Position:

We are looking for a talented, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Support Developer who is passionate about tools and enjoys working with many projects and a wide range of technologies We are looking for an individual who will challenge himself and others to constantly come up with innovative solutions and who not only know how to solve the problem, but who help define the problems and direction and create value while pioneering new frontiers.

This is an exciting, dynamic, and challenging position and we are looking for people with initiative, drive, and relevant experience in the industry. This role will require you to work directly with product, design, Customers and operations teams to define and implement solutions.

The hired candidate will work out of the Contour Software Lahore office as an extension of the division-based Global Support Team. This role is great for someone who enjoys a mix of development work, problem-solving, and continuous improvement, with the opportunity to grow into a leadership position. You'll be expected to manage both the technical and interpersonal aspects of supporting and improving a software product.

Responsibilities:

1. Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Ability to break down and solve complex problems, especially related to Tier 1 and Tier 2 support issues.

2. Collaboration: You'll be working with multiple teams (product, design, customers, and operations) to help define solutions and implement them effectively.

3. User Experience Improvement: You'll be tasked with researching user preferences and continuously improving the user experience.

4. Research: Staying current with new technologies and best practices will be important for staying ahead of the curve and solving problems more efficiently.

5. Code Reviews & Troubleshooting: You'll engage with support teams to investigate code, database issues, and bugs. You'll also help provide training to Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams on product behavior.

6. Documentation: Writing detailed tickets for bug issues, tracking them in Jira or Azure DevOps, and collaborating with product management to prioritize fixes.

7. Team Leadership: The role has the potential for growth, where you could eventually lead a team of developers with similar skill sets.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 4+ years in software development.
• Full Stack Development: Practical experience with:

o Backend: Java, REST APIs, SQL Databases

o Frontend: Any modern frontend framework like Angular, React, or Vue

• Development Practices: Knowledge of design principles, software engineering best practices, code reviews, source control (likely Git), and build processes.
• Operating Systems: Working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows environment.
• Software Design: Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and distributed software systems.
• Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Jira or Azure DevOps for managing the software development lifecycle.
• Communication: Excellent spoken and written English skills are a must.
• Bonus: Experience in the dealership industry is a plus, suggesting the product might be related to dealership management or operations.
