Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Sales Engineer with at least 2 years of experience in the solar energy sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving B2B and B2C sales, building client relationships, and providing technical expertise to promote and sell solar solutions. This role requires a blend of sales acumen, technical knowledge, and customer engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities in both B2B and B2C markets.
  • Conduct site assessments and prepare customized solar proposals based on client requirements.
  • Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
  • Collaborate with the engineering/design team to develop accurate system sizing and quotations.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales to achieve monthly/quarterly targets.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Stay updated with solar industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates to management.
  • Support marketing initiatives such as exhibitions, trade shows, and promotional campaigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience in solar PV sales or renewable energy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, panels, and related technologies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, proposals, and energy yield reports.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD) is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and project discussions.
