Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented translator fluent in Chinese (Mandarin), English, and Urdu to translate written documents and/or spoken content between these three languages. The ideal candidate will have strong linguistic and cultural knowledge, as well as the ability to accurately convey meaning, tone, and context.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate written materials from Chinese to English and Urdu, and vice versa as needed.
• Ensure translations retain the original meaning, tone, and cultural context.
• Proofread and edit translated materials for accuracy, grammar, and formatting.
• Collaborate with internal teams or clients to clarify unclear or technical terms.
• Maintain confidentiality of all translated materials.
• Meet deadlines and manage multiple translation projects when required.
• Stay updated on terminology and language trends relevant to assigned projects.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin), English, and Urdu – both written and spoken.
• Proven experience as a translator or interpreter in a professional setting.
• Strong grasp of grammar, syntax, and idiomatic expressions in all three languages.
• Familiarity with translation tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ, etc.) is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, or a related field preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a specific domain such as legal, medical, technical, or business translation.
• Certification in translation or interpretation (e.g., ATA, NAATI, etc.).
• Knowledge of localization practices and cultural nuances.
• Experience with transcription or subtitling is a plus.
