Taxi Dispatcher

Note: Experienced taxi dispatchers are highly preferred..

We are seeking an experienced Senior Taxi Dispatcher to efficiently coordinate and manage taxi drivers and dispatch operations to ensure timely and effective customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Assign and dispatch taxi drivers to customer requests using radios, phones, or dispatch software, ensuring prompt pickups and deliveries.
• Monitor driver locations and availability, optimizing routes for efficiency and timely service.
• Manage scheduling, driver shifts, and backup arrangements to cover peak and off-peak hours.
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide excellent customer service by addressing issues related to taxi services.
• Maintain communication with drivers regarding assignments, traffic conditions, special requests, or any challenges encountered during trips.
• Keep accurate records of dispatch logs, driver activities, customer requests, and service reports.
• Train and mentor junior dispatchers, ensuring adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with management to improve dispatch processes, service quality, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with local transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Use and maintain dispatch and communication technology tools effectively.

Requirements:

• Proven dispatching experience in the taxi, transportation, or logistics industry is mandatory; applicants without dispatching experience will not be considered.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills to manage multiple requests and driver schedules simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in dispatch software, GPS, and communication devices.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Leadership skills for supervising and guiding team members.
• Knowledge of local geography and traffic patterns for route optimization.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics or transportation management are a plus.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring customer satisfaction by coordinating reliable and timely taxi services while supporting driver performance and operational management.
