The Role

We are searching for a hands-on SEO Expert / SEO Lead to spearhead our search engine optimization initiatives. This person will be responsible for defining and executing our SEO strategy across all facets—technical, content, and off-page—while also providing guidance and direction to supporting team members or agencies. You will be the definitive authority on all things organic search within Orca Digital.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Development & Ownership: Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive, results-driven SEO strategy that aligns with overall business goals and marketing objectives.

Technical SEO Execution: Conduct in-depth technical audits and manage all aspects of technical SEO, including site architecture, crawl budget optimization, page speed, indexation, structured data, and mobile optimization.

Content Strategy: Partner with the content team to identify high-value keyword opportunities, optimize existing content for maximum search visibility, and define a content roadmap based on search demand.

Off-Page SEO & Authority Building: Develop and execute a proactive link-building and digital PR strategy to increase domain authority and trust.

Performance Analysis & Reporting: Utilize tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and various SEO platforms (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush) to monitor performance, diagnose issues, and create clear, actionable reports for leadership.

Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead the execution of SEO tasks, mentor junior staff or manage agency relationships, and ensure best practices are applied across all digital properties.

Stay Ahead of the Curve: Continuously monitor the search landscape, algorithm updates, and emerging SEO tools to ensure our strategy remains competitive and compliant.

Qualifications Required

3+ years of dedicated experience in an SEO role, with a proven track record of driving significant organic traffic and conversion growth.

Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with Technical SEO, On-Page Optimization, and Link Building.

High proficiency with leading SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz) and core reporting platforms (Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4).

Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO and rendering.

Excellent analytical skills—ability to translate complex data into clear, strategic recommendations.

Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
