𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:

PPF is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Editor to lead its editorial initiatives, ensure the quality and accuracy of published content, and contribute to strengthening press freedom and independent journalism in Pakistan. The Editor will work closely with journalists participating in

fellowships and PPF program teams to produce impactful news stories, reports, and communication materials.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:

  • Guide and mentor journalists and contributors to strengthen their reporting and content production across different formats, including print, broadcast, and digital media.

  • Provide hands-on editing from story planning to pitching and publication of stories worked on by fellows in PPF's fellowship programs.

  • Ensure ethical and professional journalistic practices are upheld.

  • Work closely with the program and communication teams to align editorial output with organizational goals.

  • Oversee fact-checking processes and ensure the timely publication of stories by journalists and media professionals working with PPF as fellows, etc.

  • Edit and review news stories, reports, press releases, and other written materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to editorial standards.

𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞:

● Bachelor's or Master's degree.

● Minimum 5 years of experience in national newspapers or television channels.

● Excellent news writing and editing.

● Strong understanding of media ethics, press freedom issues, and current affairs in Pakistan.

● Proven ability to manage editorial workflows and meet deadlines.
