Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced 
Backend Developer
with 2+ years of hands-on experience in managing DNS, CDN, SQL databases, PHP, domain handling, hosting environments, and website transfers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless server operations, optimal website performance, and efficient domain management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Hosting Management:

·      Set up and maintain shared, VPS, and dedicated hosting environments.

·      Monitor server performance and uptime, implementing optimizations as needed.

·      Troubleshoot and resolve hosting-related issues.

2. DNS Configuration & Management:

·      Configure and manage DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, etc.).

·      Ensure proper domain propagation and troubleshoot DNS issues.

·      Coordinate with domain registrars for transfers and updates.

3. Content Delivery Network (CDN):

·      Set up and integrate CDNs (e.g., Cloudflare, AWS CloudFront) for improved site performance.

·      Optimize caching and delivery configurations for static and dynamic content.

·      Monitor CDN performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

4. Database Management (SQL):

·      Design, configure, and maintain SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).

·      Perform regular backups, migrations, and restorations.

·      Optimize database queries for better application performance.

5. PHP and Application Support:

·      Debug and optimize PHP-based web applications.

·      Manage PHP configurations and upgrades across different hosting environments.

·      Collaborate with developers to resolve compatibility or performance issues.

6. Domain Handling:

·      Register, transfer, and renew domains with domain registrars.

·      Ensure SSL certificate integration and renewal for all domains.

7. Website and Data Transfers:

·      Handle website migrations across different hosting providers with zero downtime.

·      Ensure secure and efficient data transfer protocols.

·      Manage email migrations tied to hosting platforms.

8. Security & Compliance:

·      Implement security measures, including firewalls, malware scanners, and DDoS protection.

·      Perform regular server audits and patch management.

Key Requirements:

Experience & Skills:

·      
2+ years
 of experience in hosting and server management.

·      Proficiency in DNS management, including tools like cPanel, WHM, and DNS hosting services.

·      Experience with CDNs (e.g., Cloudflare, Akamai) and performance optimization.

·      Strong knowledge of SQL database management, query optimization, and backups.

·      Expertise in PHP, including version control and compatibility troubleshooting.

·      Familiarity with domain registrars, transfers, and SSL certificate management.

·      Proven track record of successfully migrating websites and data across hosting platforms.

Technical Tools & Platforms:

·      cPanel, WHM, Plesk, DirectAdmin

·      MySQL, PostgreSQL, phpMyAdmin

·      Cloudflare, AWS CloudFront, or similar CDN services

·      Web servers: Apache, Nginx, LiteSpeed

·      Monitoring tools: Pingdom, Nagios, or equivalent

·      Hosting platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar

Soft Skills:

·      Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

·      Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

·      Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
