Job Brief:

The Network & Security Engineer will serve as the senior on-site technical resource responsible for managing, monitoring, and securing the company's IT network infrastructure. The role involves leading the technical transition, ensuring IT stabilization, and providing expert guidance on network and security best practices. This position is critical in ensuring high availability, optimized performance, and robust security for enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor network infrastructure using dashboards, alerts, and reporting tools for real-time visibility.
• Proactively identify and resolve performance or availability issues to ensure maximum uptime.
• Redesign and optimize IP schema to minimize conflicts and enhance segmentation.
• Implement VLANs per department/function and enforce inter-VLAN routing with ACLs.
• Manage routing, switching, firewalls, and VPN configurations.
• Configure, manage, and optimize SD-WAN solutions to ensure secure, high-performance connectivity across branches and data centers.
• Monitor SD-WAN performance, enforce security policies, and support hybrid WAN/cloud deployments.
• Deploy and maintain network security policies to safeguard data and infrastructure.
• Implement policy-based access controls for devices and users at the network/security layer.
• Collaborate with system administration teams on integration with centralized identity and access management solutions.
• Ensure least-privilege environments through strict role-based access control.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of network topology, IP schema, VLAN structure, and security policies.
• Prepare and submit monthly/weekly SLA compliance and performance reports.
• Maintain a repository of SOPs related to core network/security operations and incident response.
• Support the design and implementation of network-related disaster recovery strategies.
• Ensure network resilience through redundancy, failover configurations, and secure connectivity.
• Participate in disaster recovery testing and validate network availability under failure scenarios.
• Act as point-of-contact for on-site technical escalations and IT stabilization efforts.
• Provide technical guidance during transition phases of IT projects.
• Collaborate with system administrators, application teams, and IT leadership for seamless operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

•      Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• years of experience in network administration and IT security in enterprise environments.

•      Hands-on experience with routing, switching, VLANs, ACLs.

•      Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs.

•      Experience with SD-WAN technologies and solutions.

•      Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, or equivalent).

•      Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IP schema design, and segmentation.

•      Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO

•      Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and business continuity concepts.

•      Excellent documentation and reporting skills.

•      Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) – preferred for senior-level candidates.
